What if?

Each week we pass our time doing countless activities with people all around us.  We spend time on the computer and watch TV.  We hang out with friends, make meals, go to school, clean our houses, and the list goes on.

Lately, I have started to wonder about all that "time" that we have and how we use it.
 
How much time am I spending with Jesus?

This is a question I have been asking myself a lot. 
 
When I go out with a friend for coffee, I spend at least two hours with them. 
I check Facebook and my email every day, if not multiple times a day. 
I spend time making meals.  I do laundry, clean my house, drive... you get my point. 
There are a lot of things that seem to take up my time.  So much so, that at times, I run out of time to spend with Jesus. 
Yet... He created me, died for me, saved me, loves me, and wants to spend time with me. Wow!  Jesus is just waiting for me to open up His Word or to stop for a few moments and think on Him and pray.  He is the ONLY one who will never leave me, never fail me, always love me, always forgive me, always pick me up, always give me joy.  The more I learn of His greatness, love, grace, wrath, and mercy... the more I want to know about Him.  But I have to put time into it. 
Real time.  Devoted time.  Authentic time.  More time. 
What if?  What if I did spend more time?  What would my life be like?

My life.... at this point... and thus far.

My life... its cool.

I have the amazing privilege of living with five precious women who all love Jesus.


We love each other so its pretty great!

I am a small group Bible study leader Grace J. at our church. That is humbling, sobering, and wonderfully challenging. God has fantastic things in store for this community!




And once again... music. Its still there. Always... I sing, accompany, play piano like crazy, learn the oboe, and learn the bassoon. I am blessed.



My cooking is improving! I love making new recipes and cooking for others. What fun!



But best of all, I have been learning more about Jesus! I am becoming so crazy excited about the Gospel and grace and what Jesus does for His children. I so love reading God's Word!


All in all... its rad. I am blessed. Crazy ridiculously blessed. Its all because of Jesus.

So my friends have a band. And they are good. And I like their songs a lot. You will too.

this friend of mine

So I have a friend. A very beautiful and patient friend. She is one of my very bestest friends. Once upon a time she liked this boy and this boy liked her. Her name is Shelby and his name is Wesley. And then they starting courting and liked each other even more. Our friend Kelsey and I were kind of sad to not spend as much time with her but we were happy for her because her and this guy were perfect for each other. Well, they are so perfect for each other and love each other so much that they are going to get married. Yes! They are going to get married! And yes! They LOVE each other!!! They got engaged yesterday. And I screamed when I heard it. And now I am a very happy, proud, and excited friend! Its so great! They are so happy and adorable together! I can't wait for the wedding!

Shelby and I go way back. We have countless memories of times spent laying in the grass or curled up on the couch talking. Or Woods dates, or baking times, or the list goes on. We are so very different but that is what makes it fun. We have been friends for ages and I know we will always be friends... for the rest of our lives. I am so very excited for her as she enters this new stage of life and I know without a doubt that she will make a wonderful wife. Wes is a very blessed man!!!

So... Congratulations Wesley S. and Shelby L.!!!!!!!!!!!! You two are a marvelous couple and God has truly been honored by your relationship! To Him be the glory! Love you!
