It's odd how one's heart can love and yearn for so many places and so many people. I've yet to figure out why. I do know that God hard wired me for people and to give massive amounts of love. With this love, I have felt both great joy and intense pain. I'm thankful. Maybe not in those heart-wrenching moments.... and even after, I can struggle to see the silver-lining. But this pain is the result of beauty, and that I would never give up.
These last few years have been a roller-coaster of traveling, experiences, and insanely filled days. Literally hundreds of people have entered my life and radically rocked my world.
Now, life has 'slowed down' and is settling. The adventure seems to be dissipating.
Oh but no, in this life...every season is an adventure. I've entered a new one. And it will be good. Perhaps it is not as I had originally imagined, but in reality, how rarely what we think should happen actually takes place. God's faithfulness once again. He gives new dreams all the time. And this does not necessarily mean your old dreams die. It's pretty cool really.
I choose to live and dream big. That can happen anywhere.
My God is amazing and can work through anything. Every single one of us matters.
It looks like this will be the first year in a very long time that I haven't left the country on some exciting adventure. And that's ok. I have a fabulous new adventure ahead. One filled with music and laughter and brilliantly beautiful students. God's timing is perfect and I'm overwhelmed with His faithfulness.
I guess what I am trying to say is that yes, life has turned out a bit different than I thought. I have had the last 8 years planned out 'perfectly' and they NEVER went as planned. And it was so great!!! So I welcome the unknown and different and new. I look forward to watching God work!
